If you run receiving for a hardware distributor, retail chain, or industrial supply house, mixed orders are the norm. One pallet can hold Hillman fasteners, replacement tool blades, and garden cutting tools. The problem is not counting boxes. It is catching spec issues before they reach a contractor or retail shelf.
I am a quality and brand compliance manager at a hardware distribution company. I review every fastener and tool SKU before it reaches customers, roughly 300 items a quarter.
